Keeping up with time can be very stressful. It puts us in a position where we forget to rest or even breathe because we think of getting things done quickly. So instead of freaking out, managing your time into the things that matter is what you should do.

Support your tasks or activities with your goals in mind. It can be a short or long-term goal that can help you focus on things that are important. Your daily plan must be related to your goals. Make sure that you continue working on your task while meeting your goals.

Make an organizational tool like a to-do list wherein you write things needed to be done daily. You can categorize them into what is “significant and urgent”, “significant but not urgent”, “urgent but not significant”, and “not urgent and not significant. Write at least three “important and urgent” tasks you need to do today. As you complete your list one by one, check it off your list. That way, you will know what you have accomplished and what is needed to be done.

If you need to decline an order or request just to get the important things done, then do not hesitate to do so. Balance your time and situation, if you think you can handle it, you can just say yes. But make sure to finish first your tasks before proceeding to the next one.

One of the worst things is to be in a place wherein you have no idea what to do or what is going on. That is why you need to prepare for unexpected things to happen. Spend some time thinking or planning of the possible solutions to possible problems that might occur related to your tasks. It is better to assume that to be surprised.

With smartphones and social media everywhere, it is easy to get distracted by unnecessary things in life. Sure it can give you the latest buzz about what is new and trendy but using your phone can make you slow down. It is so addictive and tempting but you need to get your mind straight. Turn off your phone or put it in silent mode when you are working on something, that way you can get rid of any distractions and finish your task earlier.

There are things that can be done easily when you ask some help with your family or friends. If you trust them well and know that they can do what you can then give them something to work on. Remind them of what should be done and let them do the rest. You might be surprised that a little help can change your life big time.

When you have a huge project to complete and you need professional help, make sure that you choose your people well. Have a background check on their performance. Check their achievements or any evidence that their craft is what you need. And of course, stay in your budget, don’t spend too much that can cost you more than what you can get.

Don’t forget to get enough sleep, exercise, and diet to have the energy you need for the day. Never take yourself for granted because your health is more important that your task. You can only perform well if you know how to balance work time and relax time. Pamper yourself every once in a while to earn the boost you need for the following tasks.
